Capacity ipod touch 2g

    Hi everyone.

    I bought the ipod touch 2g 32gb. when I plugged it with computer and opened the itunes. I saw the capacity was 29gb. Dose it happen to everyone?
    or my Ipod is bad.

    If my ipod is bad. Can I go to apple and change it?

    Dont worry its normal.
    The chip IS 32GB but it needs space for the system and for formatting.

    I noticed this with my 16GB 2nd Gen. ipod Touch.

    I was like wtf, but its normal.

    Rofl guys. This (problem) of yours happens to everyone. It is taken up by the firmware and isn't always exactly the same number of gb.

    Firmware and formatting takes up space..

    My old iPod nano (fatty) was 8gigs, and was only7-ish when i plugged it in.

    No worries.

    yea, that's how everything is when there is memory involved. Computers, ipods, xbox... all have less than what they say cause it's taken up by system stuff.
