you should update back to the official 2.0 firmware then downgrade it to 1.14 again. After that, you winpwn ur ipod and update to custom 2.0 again. that worked 4 me.

What tool did you use to create the custom firmware?

Don't bother using the stock firmware.
Close iTunes and bring up WinPwn, then click iPwner and select your custom firmware.
Unplug and plug your iPod in again and put it in DFU mode again by holding both the home button and power button for 10 seconds, then continue to hold the home button until you hear the Windows USB device notification, then restore.
It should be fine, as your regular WTF .ipsw will be replaced with the malformed one used by Pwnage.

Ivee done this but i will try again. The only thing i think may have caused the problem is my ipod wasnt plugged in when creating the custom firmware.

It doesn't matter if it's plugged in.
Go to %APPDATA%\Apple Computer\iTunes\Device Support\ and delete everything there, then reuse iPwner.
There's no need to rebuild a custom firmware.
Then, enter DFU again (this is important, as the malformed file will be sent again) and restore.

Okay, enter restore mode, then enter DFU mode.
Try using a different USB port also, whatever it takes to send the malformed WTF file again.
    You could even try restarting.

If all else fails, sure, restore to a clean 2.0, but you can easily restore a custom 2.0 as long you use iPwner again.
