    Hey there,

    I used SBSettings to hide "Stocks" on the SpringBoard. But now when I try to make it reappear, it doesn't work.

    SBSettings even tells me it's not hidden. I also used Poof seperately with no success. Enabled/Disabled restrictions. None of them worked.

    What can I do?

    Why would you want it back? You obviously felt you had no use for it which is the same reason why I hid mine. So why care if it doesn't show anymore? Maybe if you uninstall SBSettings that will solve the problem.

    I simply hate unexpected things that I can't control.
    I already tried anything: Uninstall SBS, restrictions etc.

    Run this in Terminal:

    plutil -c xml1 Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist

    Then SSH to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences and open com.apple.springboard.plist and check the restrictions key.

    What exactly does this command do?

    Convert to XML so it can be read?

    Edit: I downloaded the plist via SSH and converted it on my computer. I can't find a restrictions key though.

    Yes, it converts it to XML that is read by both the iPod and notepad applications

    See if it says com.apple.stocks anywhere.

    If not, check /Applications to see if it is still there (Stocks.app)

    <key>com.apple.stocks</key>
    <dict>
    <key>SBDefaultStatusBarModeKey</key>
    <integer>2</integer>
    </dict>

    ughhh is that the only occurrence?

    I'd say you .app is f***ed up, because it's not hidden.
