    also,should i update to 2.2 ???

    plz help

spending a few seconds on this will not hurt that much !!!!!!!!

don't be mean, it's his first post. I would recommend getting Cyw00d's GUI Jailbreak Helper 1.7.

Search the forum for this - "Cyw00d Jailbreak Helper" or something like that

Yea its out! Reds0w lite is the patch. Thetr are many tutorials on what to do here in the forum. And also, u should upgrade to 2.2.1 if ur gonna do
    the jailbreak. Much easier.

    Thanks for replies

But i do find the tethered jailbreaking very complex.if what i gAthered is right then "tethered" only means having to connect to a pc to run ipod again after rebooting and having a few bugs.
I have owned my ipod for about a month and am having lots of fun with it even without jailbreaking, have always charged before running out of battery and have had only one app crash which caused a reboot.so a "tethered" jailbreak is not a problem.is a tethered jailbreak really worth the effort cuz i can happily wait for a month or two.
