I don't know what to do, i'm very familiar with the itouch and how it works but i've trieEVERYTHING and can't get it to un-freeze. Litteraly frozen, completely. Recovery mode doesn't work, i can't power down, there's even the previous screen burned onto the background. I don't know what to do. I've even tried plugging it into the computer, but i can't restore because it doesn't detect my device =[

    help?

    Thank ahead of time..

for your computer to recognize the ipod you would have to plug it in then hold down the power and home button at the same time until it turns off then let go of the power button but not the home, the ipod should show up within 10-20 seconds.

force recovery mode. If not, call apple/take her in, assuming the frozen screen ins't that of a jailbroken app.

    For the record..

ya, for the record, it has been bricked. And useing the restore feature didn't work, i even tried putting it into recovery, i'm not that stupid lol. But for some odd reason it worked the seventh time i tried it T_T but now i'm back to factory settings.. Oh well, at least it's working. Anywase, yes, i tried recovery mode and didn't work the first six times but did later.. Go figure right?

    Thanks for the help anywase..

You probably did it wrong then... also BTW, if you fix it, its not a brick.
