I have the MC model of the Ipod Touch. Its the 8GB one I just got it like 3 weeks ago. So anyways 2 weeks ago I jailbreaked it and it was successful. I used blackra1n to jailbrake it with RC3 by geohot. So about last week ago I turned it off and I couldn't turn it back on it just had a Plug into Itunes thing. So I put it into my computer ran the RC3 again to fix it and everything worked, I was able to turn it on. Today I turned it off again and I now can't turn it on it says the Plug into Itunes. I tried to do the RC3 again but this time it didn't work. When I run it says Running but on the ipod I don't see a picture of that guy geohot I get a black screen and then the RC3 says Tethered Finished wait until Ipod reboots but the iPod never reboots it just has a black screen. Is there a way to fix it without restoring? I had lots of good apps that I don't want to lose.

This may be a little off-topic, but why do you turn off your iPod? The iPod touch and iPhones are built to last for a longer time when in standby mode then actually powering down the whole device, there is no point in turning off the device.

Like Ui94 said, why did you turn it off?

    There really isn't any point.

Anyways, if you need it fixed now, restore.

I turned it off because I had some problems with it. It ran a little slower and some apps didn't work good. Also when I was listening to music I couldn't change the volume it wasn't working for me I couldn't move the bar. Same thing happened to me before and I turned it off and turned it back on(using RC3) and then the volume did work. So is there any way I could fix it?

You could jailbreak it with blackra1n now.

Just restored my iPod Touch works now. Downloaded the blackra1n RC3 and used it and it didn't jailbreak the ipod just gave it a black screen. Now I have to restore again...

Yes I am. I think that when iTunes updated to 9.02 it made blackra1n not work on your computer. I think this is the reason I can't jailbreak it I am going to try on a different computer later.
