Ive read every single guide on the internet and googled for days. Nothing seemz to fix my ssh problem. Im on a 2.2.1 jbed ipot and i have openssh on and ericas utlities and any other 'services' type installed. I always get a network error: connection timedout error. So i changed the timeout time to over 60sec more than enough time. My ip is written in correctly same with rootand alpine login. Grrrr

Probably sounds dumb but you did install openSSH right? Is sbSettings enabled and if so, the SSH icon is green correct?

Reboot after installation, and here's the stuffs:

    Host: Your IP Address
    Username: root
    Password: alpine
    Port: 22

    OK
I have a similar problem, this is how I fix it:
I open a YouTube video on my iPod, then I try it.

Use iFunBox, its like SSH but its faster and is done via USB rather than Wifi.
