Can't Shift Click + Restore

    I tried to, but the Windows Explorer will never pop up... Ant help?

    Sorry. And just for more info, I have the latest version of iTunes and am running Windows XP.

    hold shift, click restore, let go of shift

    what is so hard??

    There is nothing hard about the method, it's just that the Windows Explorer won't pop up. So that means I can't choose the custom firmware.

    I had this ploblem too, with my ACER notebook.
    but changed to jailbreak on PC its DONE !!

    Luken27, try to change computer!!

    okay i've tried everything and i think i figured it out.

    -Ipod has to be in DFU mode
    -if explorer doesnt open close, then reopen itunes,
    -if this doesnt work uninstall itunes (remember to save your songs) and install itunes 8.1.1: http://www.oldapps.com/itunes.php?old_itunes=42#Download
