Followed the directions. I can ping the ipod, but cyberduck refuses to connect. I know i've got the right IP as my 'attached devices' lists the correct MAC addy of the ipod. Any ideas?

You need to open SSH. if you jailbreaked using Slovix.com you should have it. If not its in installer called openssh

Make sure you choose SFTP and not just FTP from within Cyberduck when opening a new connection to the iPoT. Found that out myself.

he probably used ijailbreak (which does it for you)

    1. Download tunnelier (good ssh program) ONTO YOUR PC... not the touch

    2. In tunnelier set your ip that you want to access (that is located on your touch under network settings)

    3. user: root , pass: alpine

    4. DONE

Well i just meant because if he used a jailbreaking technique that doesnt install SSH on the ipod touch for you, then he'd need to install it from 'installer'.

    yeah, you're right.
if you used iJailbreak, OpenSSH is NOT pre-installed. so you have to go to installer and download that first, then you'll be able to connect via SFTP.

for some reason Cyberduck doesn't work for me. so i've been using Fetch.
