Cant see my iPod as a Backup drive

    Hi!

    When I plug in my iPod Touch it opens iTunes, but windows doesnt recognise it as a drive, so i cant really access it in ways I would like to

    Cant put .txt and .pdf files on it.

    Welcome - next time search before you post as this has been answered many times.

    Long story short - you can't mount your iPod Touch as an external drive like previous generations of iPods. Best bet is a jailbreak and then go for putting on files via SFTP or other methods... There's plenty of information here on the boards to answer your questions.

    Apple made it so you cant, the ipod touch isnt recognized as a usb mass storage device but instead an apple device.

    So the only way to access your ipod touch right now is through SSH (wifi required) or some other third party transfer programs
