OK well, First you should see what exactly the error is

Make a new folder in C:\ drive. Name it whatever you want, preferably without spaces. Put all the iPod files in there..

Now go to start > Run > type in cmd

Once CMD is up, type "CD C:\foldername" (Replace foldername with whatever you made) without the quotes

    Now it should say C:\foldername\

    Type windows.bat
This time it shouldn't close, and it may tell you the error message. If it still closes then I don't know whats wrong..

You actually need Java. Download Java and then when you open that windows script it will work.

, sorry I don't have an iPod touch yet so I don't know about this stuff that much.

So yeah, go get java like F0N3Y has stated. And then try it

Edit: OK I downloaded the jailbreak thing even though I don't have an iPod, and it also closed on me too. But when I made a folder in C: drive and put all the stuff in there, then I went into CMD and typed CD C:\jail (Thats where I put all the stuff), and then I typed windows.bat it came up all fine..So yeah if you install java and cant get it to work, try that I said

So what does it say when you do that?

Edit: Here is a picture, just to show you what you should be doing, incase you may have done something wrong which I doubt.

Also, make sure you go to Task manager, Go to the processes tab and end process of anything having the word "Apple", or iPod, iTunes, anything apple related..And then try my method of running windows.bat like in that picture. You never know

If that fails, download the latest java http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_manual.jsp and try. That's all I can suggest.
