I have downgraded my Ipod Touch to 1.1.1, installed the jailbreakme installer. And have installed the toolschain from "iphone game over" on windows using cygwin.

I've created/compiled my app based on the HelloWorld example (I've tried both the basic one at iphone game over and the Duriaan one). I can compile fine and have copied the executable and the plist file to my ipod touch using SSH (Its in /Applications/DuriaanHelloWorld.app). I have exact copy of the Info.plist from the Duriaan website (does the CFBundleIdentifier matter ? I have kept this the same ). I have chmod'ed the contents to have permissions 775.

But I'm not having any luck running it. The app does not appear on the "desktop" only in the launcher application. But when I select it nothing happens. Is there a step I have missed ?
