I can't restore to the regular 2.2.1 firmware now, it's been preparing for a long time now and it's just the REGULAR APPLE MADE FIRMWARE. The iPod displays the USB to iTunes picture. Oh, I just got a 1611 code after 10 minutes.

What the heck should I do?

(Yes, I did try to jail break it and it didn't work so I'm just trying to restore it and try again tomorrow.)

Omg, what do I do? It just won't install the firmware. It prepares, then makes the disconnection noise and starts to do it again and then gives me 1611 error code.

I had the same problem. First I deleted the firmware file that i was trying to restore to. Then I re-downloaded from felixbruns.de and restarted my comp. Then i put my ipod into DFU mode, opened itunes and held alt(or shift if your on pc) and clicked restore then selected the new firmware file i downloaded and it finally worked!

Download 2.2.1 form another place besides iTunes, and try again.

Alright, I will try some of this. I'm downloading the 2.2.1 from felixbruns and I will restart my computer when I get back because I have to go out.

And DFU mode isn't working, unless it's called recovery mode on iTunes.

Omg, nevermind all the other stuff. This is working lol.

Wow, so simple, I guess I was panicking too much lmao.

    Thanks a lot.
