I am trying to jailbreak my 2g itouch with 2.2.1 firmware. I tried redsnow and quickpwn, but none of them are working so I decided to try blackra1n. But the problem is that I can't restore to the 3.1.2 firmware. I already have the firmware (ipsw) and I have the latest version of iTunes (9.02 I think). When I try to restore it to 3.1.2, I keep getting an error. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thnx

try to reboot your computer and then try a DFU restore to the 3.1.2 again.

So I just hold the power and hold button until the beep, then I release the power until another beep? Then I restore it?

And do I leave it plugged into the computer when putting it into dfu mode?

If u r on 2.2.1 y not just upgrade in iTunes? Use the legit firmware from iTunes.
