Cant restore ipod

    Hey, so i cant remember for the life of me my ipod touch passcode and how when i try fallowing the steps to restore it,it tells me to connect to iTunes, however when i do that it says that iTunes says that it cannot connect to the ipod touch because it is "locked with passcode" so i keeped looking and one person told me i need to connect it to the computer that it was sync to, but Im still SOL because i got a new computer and dont have the old one anymore. CAN ANYONE ONE PLEASE HELP... I just wasnt to restore my ipod! Thanks

    Hold your home and power buttons for 10 seconds, exactly.
    Release the Power button, but KEEP HOLDING the Home button for another 10-20 seconds, until your iPod is recognized by iTunes, but the screen is black.

    After that, click restore.

    He might just not have known was DFU Mode was. I didn't when I first got my iPod.

    He doesn't have to know DFU?

    He could have just authorized his "new" computer with his iTunes account it was originally synced to and I'm pretty sure it would have unlocked "his" ipod.
