    It's simple really.
    Forget about quickfreedom.
DFU and restore your iPod to 3.0
download Redsn0w 0.8 and use that to jailbreak.
    It's very simple.

When your ipod is on hold power + home until it turns off then keep holding for 3 seconds then let go of power keep holding white until you hear windows detect it (idk for mac)all while its plugged into your comp. If you see the apple logo do it again. After its in DFU mode open itunes and restore it. Then follow this.

but the problem is in itunes i get the error" network timed out" or something similar, it annoys me so much, also i think it is in DFU mode, it looks off, but windows and itunes detects it, and itunes says its in recovery mode, also im in windows vista

    Thats DFU Mode.
It should be black and non-responsive, but recognized by iTunes.

When iTunes says it recognizes a device "in recovery mode", close out of it.

All the buttons should be grayed out except for the RESTORE button, click it.
