    well.
1)= make sure your iPod is plugged in, so it appears in iTunes.
2)=when in iTunes, hold down shift and click restore or update then find the firmware, then it should do its stuff

xD, sorry, but is there any other way to restore, without plugging into your computer?

Just kidding, no offense at all.

Anyways, is it because you are trying to downgrade from 1.1.3 to a lower version? Sometimes that doesn't work automatically. Here is what you have to do, to enter DFU mode, which lets you downgrade/upgrade to any firmware, without any problems.

Hold down Lock + Home button, until the iPod turns off. Make sure it is plugged into your computer and recognised by iTunes while doing this. Your iPod should disconnect from iTunes.

Next, continue holding that for about 1 second, and then let go of the Lock button. Continue to hold down the Home button. Your iPod should still be plugged in and iTunes should still be open at this point.

Continue holding the Home button for 15 seconds or so, until iTunes recognizes an iPod in recovery mode. Nothing should be on your iPod's screen, it however should still be recognized though.

Hold shift, and click restore. Choose the firmware you are trying to downgrade to.

I got this error trying to jailbreak stock 1.1.3 with ZiPhone 2.5

iTunes does not detect my iPod Touch in DFU mode.

I did "Jailbreak", which causes this error, then I did "Refurbish", which does not effect the error status.

I know that error 0xc0000135 calls for this:

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=32168

iphone.unlock.no says 0xc0000135 needs .NET Framework 2.0 installed, but I don't know if the errors are the same. Don't know if this helps! Good lcuk!
