It seems like every rap song now has a title like "[Rap Title Here] ft. Lil Wayne, also with Jay-Z, assisted by Mos Def, and for a limited time only Public Enemy".

Seriously, why do they never do anything by themselves?

It gives songs a different feel when there are collaborations. Two (or more) different takes, voices, flows, rhythms, styles. Just makes a song more intriguing sometimes.

Lots of singles are that way. Listen to a good artist's whole album and you'll catch them by themselves.

I don't have a problem with collabos, my problem is when someone has an album full of collabos.

If I see lil wayne's name in the song, it pretty much turns me off to the song. NaS has done a lot of good songs by himself, such as be a ***** too, black president, and Sly fox
