So I basically took my iPod out last night because it was out of battery, and tried charging it on my Macbook Pro, to no avail I put it on my iHome to see if it could pull a charge from that.

I woke up to a still dead iPod, after hooking it up again to my laptop it still won't get power, and I've tried doing the standard Home + Hold button reset which hasn't done anything.

She isn't covered by AppleCare anymore and I'm hoping I don't need to go purchase a new one.

Someone give me some good tips please!

hmmm it seems like the battery somehow got corrupted you might want to call apple and tell them what you are experiencing
