    Hey peepz.

Today I would try to OpenSSH into my iPod touch, to see how that would work, and see what I could do with it.

    Well, i know username/password is root/alpine etc.
My iPod isn't locked, i do got the OpenSSH package, and SSH is turned on @ SBsettings, so I really do wonder what I do wrong.

    I'm using WinSCP for SSH'ing.

I'm typing my host address in 'Host Name'
    User name: root
    Password: alpine
    Port: 22

Some of the errors I'm getting is:

"Assertion failed: random_active >=0, file putty\SSHRAND.C, line 242" followed by a "Abnormal program termination".

    "Network error: Connection timed out"

Could someone please tell me what those errors mean, and what I have to do, so I can use the SSH?

Are you typing in the correct host name, which is the i.p address of the network you're connected to.

Try disconnecting and connecting your ipod that could fix it.

I already did that, and it wasn't working.

Hmm, I get that sometimes, I just keep trying it and it works.
Did you save the login stuff?
If yes, try deleting it and making it again.

Fixed it, I'm using DiskAid now.
