I can not jailbreak to 3.1.2 Im currently on Normal 3.1.2 on my ipod. When i make the firmware in Pwnage Tool then try restoring in itunes i get error 1600 Iv'e used black rain but everytime i boot it takes me to recovery mode. I looked at all the fix threads and nothing works. Could it be that im running snow leopard i dont know????

When you get to recovery mode, close blackra1n, run blackra1n again and press 'make it ra1n' again.

But that's tethered. I have an ipod touch 2g does it still have to be tethered? I want an untethered jailbreak

How sure are you that it's a 2G? Did it come with 3.1.2 installed? Or did you update from 2.x.x?

Okay, hmm. It should be working. If you can, try on another computer.

Well, it wouldn't hurt to try. Also, try different USB ports and USB cables if you can.
