I don't seem to be able to install any apps with this new iPod...

the app just sits on the screen with "waiting" and doesn't even start to download.

I've tried rebooting, but not fully restoring. Anyone else had this problem?

I installed six apps yesterday with no problem (all tested and they all function as intended). I don't think your issue is applicable to all 4G units.

My first attempt to download apps directly onto the iPT4 took a few goes with it repeatedly failing. After a while though, it asked me to re-verify my account details and then it started behaving itself. It's been fine ever since. I think it just didn't like the fact that I usually download apps and music from my Macbook and now the account was being used by the new advice.
