    Hi
    I type nvram boot-args="-v"

but I get an error saying that -v is not an option only: -p, -f, -d, -c, name=value or name

    Why is this?
    Thanks

    Hi
I ran the commands through putty and it worked.

I want to know why I always have trouble with Terminal. I restored my iPod because of this.

    I tried this code:
    chown -hR mobile:mobile /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

but all I got was permission denied

in WinSCP I checked and permissions is set to 755.

I tried to update to the latest Terminal (Term-vt100 svn198) but I constantly get "Error - package download failed"

    What can I do?

    Thanls

I changed the Permissions of Terminal to 7777 but it still does not work properly.

I type reboot but I get "Operation not permitted".

Does anyone else have problems with Terminal?

    OK it's -

    nvram boot-args="-v"

    do that in Putty

    you can also do

    nvram boot-args="-x"

    or

nvram boot-args="-s" - but for that you'll need to use ZiPhone clear NVRAM to boot back up!

    Hi
I already got that bit to work through Putty. What I was wanting to know was why Term vt100 is not working properly on my iPod.

Such as reboot command not being permitted and the nvram command not working in Terminal even though it works in Putty.

    In Term-vt100 do

    su root

    then type alpine

    and hit enter
