Can't get out of recovery, not even with DFU?

    Hi

Today I tried to apply the semi-tethered jailbreak on my ipt2g. All went well untill the very last step of the enclosed readme.
After the command 'setenv boot-path /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kernelcaches/kernelcache.s5l8720p' my iPod seemed to start booting, which it shouldn't have done according to guides, and now it is stuck at the 'connect to iTunes'-logo.

When I try to restore I can: iTunes sees the iPod and allows me to restore, but after restoring, iTunes prompts me 'there is an iPod in recovery mode connected'. Then the 'connect to itunes'logo on my iPod is back.

Even going into DFU doesn't help. I know everyone says you can't really brick it with the jailbreak because you only mess with the RAM and not the actual stored software, but I have no idea how to get out of this mess :s

    Any ideas?

edit: Before I hear it again: I DID go in DFU, that didn't help. watch this video to see what actually happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-Tpir7CTmY

ok, your in recovery mode rite.

Hold both buttons down. Count 10 seconds. Let go of power (top button). Keep holding onto home button. Count another 7 seconds. Let go of the home button.

Now restore in itunes using an original firmware. Start over again. Make sure you follow the steps to the dot

I just got into DFU as you said: 10 seconds on both, and 7 on home, then iTunes prompted me.
Now I'm downloading 2.2.1 again, so I have the right formware for sure, and when I'm done I'll post again...

As I expected: exactly the same :s:s:s

I used a clock to time the 10 secs btw, so please believe me: I was in DFU correctly. So is there anyone with an idea to what I should do now?? :s

btw: I used the new JB, redsn0w semitethered, is it possible that one can do harm?

Try this if you restored official firmware:

Put your iPod in Recovery mode, run irecovery/rslite and type:
    setenv auto-boot true
    saveenv
    fsboot

If you don't know how to enter RECOVERY MODE (it's different then DFU), do this:

Unplug and turn off your iPod by holding home and power, when it's off hold HOME button and plug in your iPod to your computer, continue holding HOME until you see connect to iTunes logo.

If your still not in Recovery, instead of waiting for connect to iTunes logo try holding home for 8 seconds after plugging it in.

If you need remote assistance please pm me.

I tried that, but after the fsboot-command I got an error...
    Here's the output of rslite:

ater that I tried to recover agn in iTunes, and something def changed: as you can see in my video, the progressabrs on iTunes and my ipod were totally different, and now they are in sync... So I guess that's better, I don't know in what way, but still...

But after the recovery I got the iTunes logo... AGAIN....
