    Hi guys,

ok i'm at my wits end here trying to get the iphone apps working on my ipod touch.

    quick history.

happy ipod user since Christmas using firmware 1.1.1 until last Friday.
from doing some research I found ziphone and decided it was time to jailbreak!
before running ziphone, I updated my firmware to 1.1.4 via the auto update in iTunes
    I then ran ziphone v2.6b
everything went well and I could see installer was installed
i went ahead and then installed bsd subsystem and openssh

this is where we get to the root of the issue

i first tried to the iphone apps via install via applerepos - everything seems to install fine but when i go back to the main dashboard I don't see any new iphone applications

i then uninstall and try just about every repo out there (including spazio one and most recently the ipodtouchacks one) every single successfully installs but nothing ever shows up in the main interface.

I can install other apps no problem (such as some games, some themes etc.) but the one that is consistently not appearing are the iphone apps.

Have I missed something? Any suggestions are welcome guys. Thanks.

I'm having the same issue, I already made a thread about it, this is the same EXACT problem, I jailbroke mine the same way, took the same steps, I looked in with SSH, and it's only installing wiggle feture for some reason, hopeing that someone is willing to copy the apps off their ipod/iphone and upload them

Did you guys install the preps before installing the actual apps?

I think to get them to work you need to install the preps first, then the apps.

Install openSSH and SHH into the iPod/iPhone. Change premissions on all files/subfolder ect. to 0755.
    (/Applications/"You app"

well, I've ssh'd into it before, the iphone apps (spare the wiggle) aren't even being installed! It's weird, is this a possible side effect of ZiPhone jailbreaking?

Hi, I checked the permissions on each app in the applications folder and they are all set to 755 already. what permissions should be set on the actual "applications" folderitself?

simscube, I think you might be on to something - i've got the wiggle thing aswell. I've been reading very concerning things about what ziphone does to the bootloader aswell

    should have used iliberty+

i just downloaded the core iphone apps from a ******* and am going to attempt a manual install. I will let you know how it goes.

still find it v.strange that this is just limited to iphone apps. could this be some enhanced firmware under 1.1.4? I only updated to 1.1.4 on sunday last.
