Does it say any problem? I had a problem before where it would say incorrect directory or something so what I did was download one more app from installer and then re-ssh'ed and it worked fine.

Also use bosstool to move your applications folder

If they arent there yet try going to "/" then to applications or going to var and applications.

    Have you used BossTool recently?

Sometimes, for me at least, using it after having a lot of applications and customizations on my iPod will relocate my apps, but not correctly.

Try undoing any recent changes you may have done through a terminal or something.

    Did you look in /private/var/Applications?

yaaa i started using a very scientific approch to finding the lost folder...

... I started clicking on random directories in winscp...

... and it worked get this, it was in /private/var/stash/Applications.08obUE

so does anyone know how to get it in the right place?

anyway thanks for all of the help.

Looks like a whole bunch of command lines to fix that. Need to do some thinking. Installer is much better than Cydia now.

ya i know but summerboard would not download form installer for some reason, so i tried cydia and it worked. dont worry about making command lines for the fix, all of the apps work and i know where it is now so ill just stick with it till i restore next.
