I just tried jailbreaking my 2g ipod touch today and I encountered a new problem with my 2g ipod touch now. When I tried to restore my Ipod touch with my custom firm ware I downloaded it encountered a problem during restoring and it stopped the restoring after that. After the problem my itune does not detect my Itouch and my itouch can not exit from the "Connect the itune screen" even if the itouch isn't plugged to pc.Can any1 please help me?

Firstly, 'tis not an itouch. It's an iPod Touch. Secondly, have you tried going into DFU again?

Thanks for the correction. I tried going into DFU mode but my Itune didn't detect my Ipod Touch and showed a message in my computer that "Device driver software was not successfully installed"

To the original poster, just DFU + restore, then redsn0w.

If you want to play it that way:

Well I got ipod touch to connect to my pc now but it doesn't recharge battery for some reason when I connect it to my USB drive. My itune says that my ipod is connected to my pc.

I experienced the same problem. My iPod crashed, and immediately went into this screen (which is a picture of a white USB plug, and an iTunes logo right above it).

I had tried Jawcl's method, but to no avail. I had also tried 1ClickBoot, but the same screen pops up, afterwards.

I fixed this problem by simply plugging my iPod into a computer that had that iPod synced to it. I spent hours trying to fix it with a computer that wasn't synced with it; it was just reformatted.

Maybe it was because I used Jawcl's method, or used 1ClickBoot, or some other factor, that I was able to solve my problem, so I may just be full of fecal matter.

My method should work. It worked for everyone else that has tried it.
