    Use Itunes 8 and downgrade....

1st put Ipod in DFU mode, then shift + restore.

If you can't put in DFU, oh well... Why would you want to downgrade anyways? Who cares... 3.0 is better... -_- BTW, its called blackra1n...

If you click on restore, it will automatically do the restore process.

In order to avoid this, we need to keep the shift key pressed and then click on restore, by which you will get the browse window thru which you can choose the .ipsw file.

If you have downloaded the .ipsw, then it would have been saved as a .zip file. Rename it to .ipsw, then iTunes will recognize it.

If .zip is not shown, goto Windows explorer, Tools, Folder options, View and uncheck hide extension for known file types.

If the shift-click part isn't working, try option(alt)-clicking.
