Hello, this is my 2ND thread but the 1ST one I posted somewhere else with the same problem, so bare with me. lOl. I have a 8GB, iPod Touch 2ND Generation. When I got it like 2 weeks ago, it had old FirmWare on it, so I upgraded it too FirmWare 3.0. I recently bought a AV Cable for my IPT too plug into my TV so I can watch Movies and stuff on it. The problem is the Cable doesn't accept the 3.0 FirmWare, and I've tried downgrading it, I've done it before with my old IPT 1ST Generation before I sold it. So I know how too do it. It just not working for me, I've searched Google, and EVERYTHING, I've heard of people having the same problem but didn't get it resolved. Anything, that'll help would be great.

    Thanks,
    -Joanna.

Put it in DFU Mode, and then Shift+Click restore to a legal 2.2.1 firmware file.

Well you should only have to do that once, you must be doing something wrong. Follow a tutorial on youtube to get the timing right, there are some good ones with countdowns on them.

Yeah, that's how I usually do it, is YouTube. Like I said, I've done it before with my old 1STG before I sold it, so I do know how too do it.

there is a thread here on iptfans that has a tutorial on how to do it. You basically need a program called quickfreedom, a program for jailbreaking the ipod touch 2g. In the program when asked if you want to install cydia, you select no. You need a legal 2.2.1 firmware in your pc. It will then restore to the default 2.2.1. For more explanation, visit the thread I told you about.
