    Hey guys and gals.

I'm having a really annoying problem, and I can't seem to fix it. I was hoping one of you guru's could help a brother out for some karma.

My sister's Ipod Touch has this error where it starts up, shows the Apple logo for a few seconds, shows the 'connect to Itunes' logo for a few seconds, and restarts. I tried every combination I've seen online for getting into DFU mode, but to my dismay, nothing works. It keeps resetting before I can actually access DFU. I also found that after ~10 restarts, it finally loads up and stays on the 'connect to Itunes' screen, but the computer shows no signs of the ipod being connected.

Anyone else have a similar problem and possible solution?

    Thank you,

    Dave

So the ipod truly was bricked (meaning, I couldn't fix it).

I found the solution to the problem though-

I took it into an Apple store and let the guys at the Genius Bar play with it.

The solution? They gave me a new ipod, free of charge. It also appears that they don't care if you hand over a jailbroken ipod. I hope nobody else encounters this error that I had, but if you do, you'll know you shouldn't bother looking for the solution online.
