can't delete ipod touch songs w/ itunes

    With itunes 8.02, I can't delete songs off the ipod touch (software 2.1).

    In itunes, all ipod songs appear when I click the little "triangle", but all the touch songs are gray-ed out and cannot be selected to delete.

    I think you need to manually manage your music on the Summary page.

    You can do one of 2 things...

    First you can get up a playlist and have your ipod only sync with that playlist...

    Or you can group highlight the songs and pless the del key on your keyboard.

    Like the previous poster said go to the summary page for the ipod. You are trying to do it in the various folders under the ipod in iTunes

    if u sync your iPod maually that ios the only way u can choose what song is on your iPod. other wise u have to uncheck the songs u dont want on your actual Music screen not ipod screen
