"iTunes could not connect to iTunes store. The network connection timed out
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"

Everytime I try to connect to the iTunes store it gives me that error msg. But I do not understand why i am getting that error if i am currently running Firefox ): Any help?

    No i am running vista.
And i figured out that my proxy settings were messed up..

So inside of iTunes, click Help > run diagnostic
Then it will tell you some random stuff, just follow the link to the apple website and they tell you have to fix it

If you have edited your host file, then that will most certainly be your problem. Change it back to the way it was - works again.
