i searched the forum and it seem like questions like this are either not answered or encountered by very few people. and i think im one of them.

i tried to connect to the ipod touch using ipswitch ws_ftp and cuteftp and they both say ip address is wrong or username and password is not correct.
the username and password i used is "root" and "alpine".
does it has to be in the same network or different?

really stuck here. any idea and comment is appreciated.

    thanx

Is you port # set to 22? This may sound stupid but some people have done it, makes sure you include the "." in your IP adress.

What got me here was that you need both devices on the same wireless. Seems siple but I missed it, hope it helps!

the "Services" app in the installer manages SSH - if you have installed Services, SSH may be off?
or if you try installing Services maybe you can turn it on from there if it somehow got switched off

these are some things that ive encountered as well -- realizing that SSH was off
