Hope someone can help me with this one.

I'm trying to restore my JB Ipad but Itunes keeps crashing thus preventing a restore.
I've downloaded Itunes and reinstalled but no joy.

On the Ipad screen is the Apple logo with the white wheel which is stationary.

When I start the restore it says it should take about 13 minutes. I get down to between 9 or 6 minutes to go and it locks up.

    Help!!

    Running on Windows XP

What does it say exactly when it Fails? and have you tried DFU mode?

    Hello Snowballwarrior,
It doesn't say anything. It appears to be restoring for maybe 3 or 4 minutes then Itunes hangs and kills the restore.
I tried DFU mode. I think I did it correctly. Can you explain how to put it into DFU mode just to make sure I'm doing it right.

    Thanks.

DFU Mode: (make sure it is plugged into the computer during this)

Step 1: Hold the Power Button and Home Button 'till you get past the slide to power off screen (do not slide to power off)

Step 2: Keep holding the buttons for 30 seconds.

Step 3: Stop holding the power button after the 30 seconds.

Step 4: Keep holding onto the home button until for 10 more seconds.

THE SCREEN SHOULD BE BLACK BUT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESTORE IF DONE CORRECT.

    Thanks,
It is a blank screen when you are jailbroken. Forgot that one i'll edit it to the jailbroken version.
