Ok, I recently downloaded Winterboard and have had success installing themes and backgrounds. However, I cannot seem to change the Lock Screen background. It was working, but it has randomly stopped.

I deleted LockBackground.jpg in var/mobile/library and that doesn't work. Changing the background through ipod settings doesn't work either.

And just to clarify, the LockBackground.png file goes in var/stash/Themes.xxx/User Lock Background.theme/

    right?

    Go here:

    Library>Themes>(theme you are using)

There should be something like Wallpaper.png, Dock.png, Statusbar.png, etc. One of it should be LockBackground.png.

Delete that. Now you can use your own pictures.

In Winterboard, make sure you use UserLockBackground

I'm doing all of the above mentioned things and my lock screen is still the standard picture of the Earth.

I have version 3.0 jailbroken, winterboard installed, user lock background is enabled and the file is named Lockbackground.png and it is in the theme folder that I am currently using. The background, icons, and dock image from that theme are working but the lock screen (when connected or disconnected from the cable) is still the standard Earth picture.

    What am I missing?

Try dragging that theme to the top.

I thought when I read your reply "Could that be all?" and sure enough it worked after capitalizing that damn B.

Thanks, I definitely won't forget that in the future.
