I recently used Quick Freedom to untether jailbreak my iPod touch 2g, everything has been great, except when iTunes tries to do a backup it displays an error message saying "iTunes could not back up the iPod because the iPod disconnected." I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, if this is a bug in Quick Freedom, and/or if there is a fix for this(if not i guess i will just re-jailbreak). Also, i know that my iPod is connected fine because it can sync without a problem, just backup has a problem.

No its not that, i have restarted the ipod, restarted my pc, and it has been like this for a few days now, im thinking its either a some sort of error in the jailbreak, the new itunes update(but i doubt it), or maby a problem with my usb cable, but i dont rele see how it could only mess up the restore.

Funny thing happened. On easter I pluged in my iPod to charge, and after it synced all the sudden it started backing up, since then I have had no more errors. I dont know if this is because of an update from cydia or what, but now I no longer dread having to redo everything when 3.0 come out.

I had this exact problem for ages which was fixed after an iTunes update. Think it is to do with iTunes not agreeing with certain applications, in this case Cydia!
