I've been trying fruitlessly for the last couple days to get into the filesystem of my iPod Touch to transfer a few files and modify some apps but to no avail. SSH won't connect and the closest I've gotten is with Total Commander and t-pot, but that only gives me access to the "mobile" folder and not the "root" directory. Tried to install the Ziphone iBrickr fix but when I add http://i.unlock.no it hangs when refreshing sources and won't show the download.

    Kind of frustrated here...

Basically, I'm trying to find out either:
    A) how to get SSH (via winSCP) to connect to the device (after repeated attempts to reconnect I finally got the filesystem up but then it promptly lot the connection)
    B) get Total Commander to access the "root" folder
    C) if there is a nother source for the ZiPhone iBrickr Fix.

    Please and thanks!

would that, by chance, fix my problem where I'm not allowed to manually modify the /Applications folder? it doesnt work in ssh or finder though, so it may not be the same as this

SO you can't do permissions on anything? How did you do your symlinks?

well this started happening before I did my symlinks. although I had used iliberty to move fonts/ringtones when I was jailbreaking.

What about the apps? Did you move them? You clearly didn't follow the guide, certainly not my guide if you are having all these issues. Why are you moving all your apps and stuff before you even finish all the stuff you need for it to be done properly?

I dont see how the apps could be the problem as this occurred before and after I moved them.
