For a moment there I read the title as 'Canonical Reveals Ubuntu for iPhones' and was dumbstruck. I proceeded to re-read the title again.
I'm wondering why they're not using any form of JVM inside. Is JVM really unstable?

I think 2014 is much too late for release. They have been hinting this for a while now and to say release should be in 2014, people will lose interest.

what makes this different from an iPhone or windows phone is that it's dock-able to the full ubuntu with all your apps and data the same

2014 is too long to wait. People will definitely forget about it.
