Cannot secure a connection

    Okay, just know when i tried to download an app or buy a song on my iPod i get a message saying this:"Cannot connect to store
    A secure connection could not be established. Please check your Date & Time settings."

    I tried it on iTunes on my computer but it says the same thing

    hm thats weird :confused: did u try rebooting?

    WHen I was getting this error I checked and my date was off. I changed back to the current date and everything worked from there. Hope it works for you

    can anyone help me??? i click the button once and the ipod acts like i clicked it twice and the music thing comes up.( i am NEW so chill out)

    thanks for the help guys, it's fixed now. Somehow the date was set to the year 2000 LOL.

    This happened to my friend too. He said the next time he synced it it worked, so I would assume syncing solves this problem. If it doesn't, I would suggest upgrading to 2.2 if you don't have that already. If the problem still persists you probably have nothing to lose, so I would restore it after trying the first to options. Hope one of these solve the problem.
