I go to delete packages from Cydia (WinterBoard) ... I do the following :-

    1. I go to Cydia, then Manage, then Packages
    2. I select the package I wish to delete
    3. I press Modify (on top rhs) and then press Remove

All it does is take me right back to the Appication Start Menu ... and the package still remains there!!!

    Please ... any suggestions?

^ Go into iTunes with your iPod connected and click "Restore". You can also try putting your iPod into DFU mode, this will force it to restore (once connected to iTunes).
