Hello i have heard you could use your cellphone as a router if you activate the internet service on it. I know this doesnt apply to all cellphones, but i have two questions.

    1) If say you activated your internet service but your cellphone doesnt have a modem option, will i be able to use it if i do it thorugh bluetooth? (Supposing they find a hack to the bluetooth chip after the 3.0 update allowing us to us it to its full power)

    2) Is there still other ways to make it work without the bluetooth?

I have a nokia 5610... i would greatly appreciate any help.

There was this one program for windows mobile devices that was able to do that, but you needed wifi on the phone. I could never get it to work with my old phone, and my new phone running WM6 doesn't have wifi in it. I think it's called wmwifirouter.

I think it is thought to be a possibility with the new 3.0 unlocked bluetooth in 2Gs.. Who knows.

if you have bluetooth tethering on your phone AND they unlock all the capabilities of the bluetooth chip then it should be possible, i unfortunately have verizon therefore i have to pay an extra $60 a month to enable tethering on my phone, and yes i know there are workarounds but i dont roll like that
