Hey guys, what I've always wondered but never tried is can you use a USB connection alternative to SSH, such as the T-Pot plugin for TotalCommander or iPhoneDrive, on a non-jailbroken iPod touch or iPhone? Thanks in advance.

    Nope..
I tried it when I upgraded from 1.1.1 to 1.1.4
It worked, I could see some files. but not the same files as a jailbroken ipod.

Nope, OpenSSH is just for connecting via SSH. TotalCommander reads the iPod as a drive, so you don't need it to be jailbroken. For read/write access and the entire filesystem you need to jailbreak.
