I would like to have as much RAM available on my iPhone as possible. However, my mail app always runs in the background and i dont use it or want it to. Is there anyway to stop it from running in the background?

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, but i don't understand how this would help stop mail from running the the background. Can you please explain what i have to do cause my mail app still seems to run in the background after running killsb. Also it doesnt seem that i need sbsettings for killsb.

I think he just pointed out that if you kill the springboard you'll free alot of memory. Tough I don't know how you would stop mail from running in background, I do find it quite annoying myself.

just download the processes toggle from sbsettings and kill the process (also, safari sucks the life out of your iphone/ipod Just end the process once you're used it). it works for me. As for freeing up memory, download Memtool and put it in the dock of your sbsettings. Hope this helps

killsb for sbsettings doesnt work, it just stops it for a few seconds, then it starts again

Get Supreme Preferences. It has an option to stop Mail from running in the background
