My Dad had this problem on his iPhone but it is the same with this new 2.0 firmware.

When you plug you ipod into the computer through USB, instead of iTunes opening automatically (which you can turn off) iTunes and iPhoto opens because of the new saved photos Feature

Is it possible to stop my iPod automatically opening iPhoto as it is very anoying

    Thanks!

My iPhoto doesn't open automatically when plugging in my iPod, ever.

I think you selected an option to automatically launch it when you first plugged it in.

no i deffinatly didnt i would never want iPhoto to open i never use it

EDIT: there is a way of completely stopping any camera to automatically open iPhoto which will have to do but i think it really should have an option to not open it with an iPod or iPhone,

to stop any camera opening iPhoto go to Preferences (in iPhoto) -> General (at the top) -> Conecting Camera opens -> and click on no application

Go to iPhoto Preferences. Tell me what it says on your "Connecting Camera Opens:" check box.

You can have iPhoto open with a connected iPod Touch I think, since it also counts as a Camera.

I realized this happens when you take a screenshot with your iPod Touch (pressing Home Button then Power) this saves the screenshot in "Saved Photos" inside the Photo Albums.

If there are any screenshots saved iPhoto will open, i've erased all screenshots and iPhoto does not open now.
