hey hows it going a question here
i pretty know almost everything there is to know about the ipod touch about all the jailbreaking ect..
but as for iphone's dont really know anything about it cause ive never had one..

i have verizon and not wanting to cancel my contract just yet cause it ends in June then i'm moving to tmobile
and i want a iphone so i can unlock it and jailbreak it to work for tmobile
    so my question is
my friend is gonna sell me his iphone cause he wants the new 3G iphone
i was wondering can i still use the iphone even though its not activated or dont have a sim card? like can i use it like a ipod touch and just use it for games and music and videos and wifi?

unlocking allows different sim cards and such but jailbreaking is putting cydia, installer, and other jailbroken apps on it. and yes you can still sync to itunes normally

    And the ultimate stoopid question:
Then why do we have Touch's?
(does the iphone HAVE to be att activated first and then unlocked or something?)
