Planning to buy the iPod Touch 4G from comet in December from COMET (UK Store) but got a few questions.

    1. If I get a comet warranty, and the iPod goes wrong will they cover the cost of apple's repair?

    2. If it goes wrong can I still send it to apple through their warranty, even though I did not buy it from an apple store or nothing?

About 2, yes you can. As long as its under warranty with apple it will allow you to take it to them.

1 = Well isn't that the purpose of buying an extended warranty

Yeah, I just heard that like through Apple's warranty if the screen breaks, you still have to pay to fix it.

Will comet pay though, cause looking at apple's prices... £126 for a repair! That's half the price of the iPod! and your better off getting a new one... If I got comet's warranty anyone know if they pay the apple fee if I send it in via comet to get fixed. Cause apple's prices are WAY to high.

it really depends on comets warrenty, what it does and what it doesnt cover, accidental damage seems more like a insurance thing than a warrenty, maybe look into gettin it insured if the warrenty doesnt cover it.
