Can you play AVI files on an iPod Touch?

    It takes about half an hour to convert 1 hour of video to mp4, so is it possible to play AVI's directly from an iPod Touch 2nd gen with out having to convert them?

    I think you can use dTunes or vlc4iphone or something like that, but it's very crappy.

    yeah you can, use vlc4iphone, you can even play mkv files

    I don't think you can play avi files without first converting them :/
