iPhone 3GS Can you do video conferencing (webcam) with iphone 3GS?

    can you do video conferencing with iphone 3GS? Or can it be used as a webcam in msn live messenger/fring etc? Thanks!

    Nope, I don't think you can. If you can, it would be weird cause you would have to face the camera away from you because the camera is on the back.

    Understand that. But can it be used with any instant messenger anyway? Or can it do a live streaming video? You know, it'll be cool if you could show your remote friends/family members what you are seeing/doing in real time when you are outside...

    You can use any external camera, camcorder device as a web cam... With a lot of tweaking, effort and time.

    That's bull. The camera is on the back of the iPhone, so if your video-calling, and your showing your face, your not able to look at the screen to see the other person.. So it's basically a waste.

    However, there's a few rumors the new iPhone 4G is going to have a camera on the front screen integrated so that you can do web-cam like conversations with a mobile version of iChat, which will work with your carriers for video-calling. Whether this is true or not, time will tell!
