This Section of the forums was slowing down... I had to make a new thread to start something.

Anyway, I had a sexy idea. I accidentally burned Ubuntu Netbook edition to a disk, and when I realized it was the netbook edition, I decided to run it as a live cd to see what it was like. While scrolling through the menus, I Noticed that this version of Ubuntu is optimized for touch screens. [ I think you see where I'm going .. ] So.. Whenever possible.. You guys think we can bring Ubuntu Netbook Edition to the iPhone and iPod touch? I Mean.. It's perfect for iPhone and iPod..

I Typed this while playing Quadrapassel from the LiveCD mode... I only booted this Cd Once

    No.

But there is a distro of Ubuntu that is made for ARM devices. With openiboot, that may be possible to port.

This will never happen on current idevices. if you have ever played around with bochs (runs windows 95 on your iphone/ipod touch) it is very slow on idevices before the 3gs (never seen it run on a 3gs). maybe 15 years from now we'll be running windows 7 and snow leopard on our iphone 20's lol.
