ok so my ipod was stuck in recovery mode and i didnt want to restore so i just put in some codes i had from run rs and it booted. can someone who knows how to get out of recovery mode, go into recovery mode and try these steps and see if it gets you out? i just want to know if what i did was a good find or not. im untethered, ipt2g, 2.2.1.

    download this: http://[PIRACY.rs].com/files/206491029/iRecovery_SVN.zip

    1. Put your iPod on DFU
    2. Open CMD, then cd your iRecovery folder
    3. irecovery -f ibss211.dfu
    4. unplug and replug ipod (will be on white screen)
    5. irecovery -s
    6. setenv auto-boot true
    7. saveenv
    8. fsboot
    9. shut it off then turn it back on.

can someone see if this works? i tried multiple codes and steps so im not sure what i did but i think this is what made it work.

This has happened quite frequently the past few days. Pretty sure steps 5-9 is sufficient.

The method you said in the first post should work.

If anyone stumbles across this thread, an easier solution is to simply use RedTool to boot your device when stuck in Recovery Mode.

yes, redtool had this feature, it was updated a few days ago with the abilities to kick an ipod into and out of recovery (but not dfu)
